Essendon DFL History in the making |
|
William James Pearson.
This photo was taken only days after he kicked 28 goals for La Mascotte Football Club in 1939 which is an Essendon DFL record. William Pearson's record of 28 goals while playing for La Mascotte Football Club in the 1939 season was a record, and it still is ! It has been equalled by another player, but William is still alive and played in Essendons 1946 Premiership win against Melbourne who was captained that day by Norm Smith. (Bill) "Peo" Pearson is still alive and lives in Moonee Ponds. He is 87. |
