"Smithy"Celebrating 50 games Will Smith |
I have only had the pleasure of coaching “Smithy” over the past 16 weeks and from the very first training session I spotted a boy with a man’s talent. Not only does “Smithy” possess amazing football skills, he has an infectious personality crafty, selfless, durable, and dependable. A modest individual who is an asset to have around the team. ‘Smithy’, as he is affectionately known by his team mates doesn’t say a lot, though his actions are worth a thousand words. The young man from PEGS is an absolute pleasure to have in our team. Smithy is the type of player that when an instruction is given he follows it to a T. I suspect this isn’t limited to the football field, from what I hear this is translated at home and school. A selfless individual putting the team first, always striving for greatness. The similarities he shares with his favourite footballer is uncanny and if he can emulate ‘RYDER’, there is no telling how far this young man can go. |

Liam Grogan achieves 50 games |
This young man has a lot to offer and it's not just his football ability. The shy boy from OLN who joined Abers 5 years ago is starting to hit his straps. With the big 50th this week Liam Grogan is well on his way to ensuring there is plenty of football ahead of him. Liam is an astute young individual that has a real sense of maturity beyond his years, a touch of class and polish to the team. |
